Early Life challenges of Lionel Messi

The magical footballer Lionel Messi was born in an average working-class family; father worked in a steel factory and mother as cleaner. At a very young age he started playing and with his talent he could capture a lot of attention from prestigious local clubs and teams. It was not very easy for him to succeed in his career.  At age of 11, Lionel Messi was diagnosed with Growth Hormone Deficiency. This meant he was physically unable to grow. And the cost of his treatment was very expensive which was out of his family’s budget. He has immense internal power despite so many challenges, he has never given up on his dreams.

Even his determination and strength on the ground was noticed by the Sports director of Barcelona FC. He left Argentina and shifted to Barcelona with his family because the local club didn’t want to pay his medical expenses.  By signing a new contract he became part of the prestigious FC Barcelona youth academy.

He was even named Player of the Tournament. Behind the scenes of his success on the field was an arduous routine. Every day he practiced and every night he injected growth hormones into his legs. This was Messi’s life until he was 14 years old. In barely a year and a half, he had already reached a level in the academy where he could join his first team. His treatment was finally over, and his body began to grow normally again, ultimately reaching 5′ 7″.
